Default Can I CF with this PSU?

Hey everyone,

Looking for some good advice here. Based on my 'sig rig', can I add in another 4890 to this system?

One thing to mention, I plan on replacing the two raptors with ssd's in the not too distant future.

I'm just not so sure the PSU will handle everything plus another 4890. I did buy it within the last 30 days, from MicroCenter, so I think I could return it and replace it with something else.

Thanks for the replies!

Marc

Oh yes. Your PSU will have no problem handling that load. You'll be approaching the max, but it will handle it just fine and dandy.

Really?

I hear these 4890's are power hogs and really thought the two cards were going to want about 600+ watts, not leaving enough for the 4 drives and everything else (read 140w cpu).

Thanks for the quick reply's!

You'll have plenty of power left over after you crossfire those cards.

Awesome! Thanks!

I was sure I couldn't do it. Those VisionTek's (currently running 1040/1140 @57c max load!) are $207 at the local MicroCenter, I may just have to go pick another one up!

The 4890 is 190w gpu and draws about 170w on load. The 750tx can do 60a/720w on 12v, which is better than many generic 900w out there. It should be fine.
