i was looking into buying a

CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power

my Graphics card i was looking at was

Will this be enough power for my build or what else determines how much i will need?

Check out this power supply calculator. You can even factor in overclocks. That PSU will be able to handle that card. According to newegg, the recomended PSU is a "minimum of a 500 Watt power supply
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 36 Amps)." The power supply you picked out puts out 550 watts and 41 amps on the 12 volt rail.

Other determining factors:

TDP (thermal design power) of the CPU
overclocks
amount of RAM
number of HDDs
number of PCI/PCI-E expansion cars
number of CD/DVD/Blue-ray drives
number of fans

Basically all peripherals matter... even if it's a negligible amount.

You should also consider all the hardware you will put into your system...

Do you have the other pieces of hardware, or you're also gonna buy them? which other components have you chosen for your build?
