Default Corsair 850W enough for 4x 4890's?

Thinking about adding another 4890 and a p6t7 to do some benching, wondering if my PSU can keep up? Rig specs in sig.

First: dude. That is going to own.

Second: I'm thinking that it's time to move up to either their TX950W, or their HX1000W. I mean, I just think that Corsair's 850W could be cutting it close, although I don't know yet. But four 4890's sounds like a call for a good 1000W PSU.

According to google, 4890s use up to 285 watts of power at full load. So no, that probably won't be enough. You'll need 1000w or more.

A 4890 I seriously doubt uses 285 watt by itself at load.

And first off OP which 850 are we speaking the tx or HX?

TX, It might for some bench runs!

HX, Better chance at it.

Waste of money, IMO. If your current setup can't cut the mustard, sell 'em and get 2 5870 or 5850. Less heat, less power, faster, DX11, etc.

1.21 Jigawatts?!?!

Go with 1200 watts only for the fact you'll never have to upgrade again when you decide to later sli 5870's, etc.
