Anyways, my recommendation is go with the 650. I would say go for the 620, but for $10 more you can get the 650.. It'll be overkill, yes, however I dont think the 520 is worth the $90 when for $40 more you can get the 650, unless of course you really need that $40, in which case the 520 will work, no worries.

I'm 14, yeah. You're right.

While your statement about a modular unit being slightly less efficient, is true, the rest of what you said is however false.

If it wasn't, do you think the best performing power supply reviewed to date on www.JonnyGuru.com would be 100% modular? No.

Don't assume that I'm náive just because I'm young, that's a dangerous stereotype to make, just like any other.

Here is the link to the power supply, the SeaSonic X-650.

And do you really think I'd have gotten a fairly high amount of rep with providing false information and giving silly recommendations? No, of course not.

Anyway, that's the end of that, and I'm not going to take up any more room in the OP's thread since it's not about me and you. If you still have a problem with me, feel free to PM me.

pwned

Anyways...

Corsair has amazing build quality and a nice warranty. They'll take back anything, no questions asked, so long as it's still covered. My TX750 has a five year warranty. I love their reliability
Only problem is, it takes them forever to get stuff back to you if you live on the east coast

I'm going modular in the future for the same reasons as you. Going with a HX 750 from Corsair, because it's Corsair, it's modular, it'll give me enough room for everything I plan on doing in the future, and the color scheme matches my case mod

I don't care what the folks over at jonnyguru have to say about it, I know my facts, I've been through tons of modular power supplies, neither of them were capable of producing fine electrical power as a standard high quality single rail ATX power supply will. Don't believe me? Figure out how to use a voltmeter, and examine the operation of a modular vs non modular.

The HX series from Corsair are outstanding. The lower wattage models (The HX450, HX520 and HX620) are all built by SeaSonic, whereas their bigger brothers, the HX750 and HX850 are built by CWT, on a newer CWT DSG design. The older SeaSonic models are still awesome, and outperform the majority of PSUs today. Oh, and the HX620 doesn't have multiple rails, Corsair changed the design. It has one single 50A/600W rail.

The new DSG design is amazing. It's fantastically efficienct, has amazing ripple suppression and excellent voltage stability. They also run very, very cool and quiet.
The newer HX designs also look a lot better, in my opinion.

Edit: Oh damn, he dissed JonnyGuru... the PSU Master. All I can hope is that Oklahoma Wolf comes on here.

Tons... neither...

I was under the impression that neither referred to two, and tons referred to many, apparently not though.

It looks like you've only been through 2 modular PSUs, though.

The CWT PSH design on the TX750 is inferior to any of the modular PSUs mentioned, in most aspects.

The Fatal1ty unit is... decent, it's built by Impervio, but its efficiency drops when its 3V and 5V rails are crossloaded, like the other Impervio built OCZ power supplies.

And he's on a $100 budget.

Yes, ton refers to many, and the CONTEXT IN WHICH U USED "NEITHER" was referring to "two" of the modular PSU's.

Again, your a dumb troll. In fact, your so dumb that you cant even troll properly.

You know what, I spent 5 years studying electrical theory, and 3 studying quantum physics for fun.

WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW.

Hey bud, My modular power supply is one of the few, A very expensive, manufactured by a great company, and 80+silver certified, and of course I inspected it prior to purchase, nuff said. He doesn't have the funds to buy a good modular power supply and there aren't many.

EDIT: You kids have fun in here, I'm officially jumping on the "win" train.

By my count there are 4 modular power supplies that achieve 80+ GOLD, and Silverstone doesn't make any of those (in fact Silverstone themselves didn't make your power supply's guts, it was Enhance Electronics).
