I have the Athena Power AP-P4ATX65FE 658 Watt. It's kind of rare it would seem :P

It is an EPS standard PSU which is aimed at the Intel Server Specifications and a single +12v rail 35A and a high current +5v rail, also a -5V rails whihc the ATX12V standard dropped a while back. Without looking further into its spec and design it will be hard to say of it can deliver the Amps as specified on those rails, but prob. fine for your current config.

With a PSU its not just a good wattage you want from it but you will also want a good amperage on the 12V rail. Minimum on the 12V rail for such systems for today should be at min of 30 Amps.

It says it could produce 35-45A on the 12v which is reasonably good and is pretty steady.

I like Athena PSUs better than most PSUs that a lot of people recommend around here.
This here is what I recommend for those with a budget: Athena Power AP-P4ATX55FE EPS12V 550W. For an Intel system that is. I don't think I'll ever get a Dual/Quad Rail PSU for as long as there is a PowerStream, SILVERSTONE SST-ST56ZF and/or Athena Power AP-P4ATX65FE. The only exception will be the PCP&C 1Kwatt. |
