Very good monitor with excellent value

review by esse09

Hello,
i got this monitor for 300$ + 70$ of custom charges (import to Italy) but you can gen it for 40-50$ less depending what store you choose.
Shipping took 4 working days and the box was well protected and not damaged at all.
This is a 27" IPS panel with a very high 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.
It has very good colors, i noticed no ghosting.
Given the price, which is less than half that of the cheapest comparable monitor available on the market, i must give this monitor a 5/5

ProsCons
Panel: great colors, contrast, high resolution. Sturdy stand. No osd

Best you can do for the money

review by roguerazr

I bought this monitor about a week ago. So far I LOVE it. The display is nice and large, the resolution is amazing, and it has great color. The monitor shipped amazingly fast for me. It arrived at my door in 3 days, which was a day ahead of schedule according to my tracking information.

The only problem I have had is quite a bit of back light bleeding around the edges of the screen. Its most prominent in the corners. If the back light is turned up past 50% it makes it very annoying while watching videos. Its less apparent in games, but I typically have to turn my brightness all the way down. This is the only reason I docked the half flame. Also it should be noted I have heard a lot of problems people have had during shipping. For me the experience was fluid and easy. I received my tracking number in my Paypal email, and the monitor took only 3 days to get to my door so all I got to say is it worked for me. Experiences may vary though.

Other then that I have had not other problems, Skyrim looks beautiful at 2560x1440. Also it is really convenient for browsing the web, as you can display 2 full webpages side by side and not have to side scroll.

Anyway, if you want a nice monitor for cheap, this is the best you can do. I paid $279.95 USD and it shipped for free.

ProsCons
Inexpensive, looks great, sturdy, perfect size, matches my case, very fast shippingBacklight bleeding, some risk involved in purchase, ships from Korea.

Gorgeous

review by saram

The QH270-Lite (IPSBS) has a glossy surface like that of Apple's Thunderbolt. It's like a plasma TV, you can see reflections. With 2560x1440, texts are small but sharp and crisp. I changed my dpi from 96 to 120 which made the text larger. As regards web-viewing, you can use the zoom adjustment. Mine is being driven by a lowly Radeon HD 5450 along with a single core Athlon with dual-link only connection...no speaker...three functioning buttons: 1)on/off 2)brighten, 3) darken, and no OSD. Colors can be adjusted through graphics controller. Right out of the box, it's just gorgeous, blacks are black and colors are vibrant. I comb through all the solid, desktop, background, colors with a magnifying glass and didn't find any dead pixel nor dust behind the "tempered glass." It doesn't swivel, but tilts, and it wobbles back and forth on its stand like a bobblehead, but if your desk is stable, it will stand motionless. On my Kill-a-Watt it averages 67watts. The 270-IPSB model is rated 8-bit/16million colors. Go to manufacturer's website, www.achieva.co.kr and view other models, two of which are described as 10-bit w/ 1.07billion colors.

ProsCons
sharp, vibrant colorsglossy, lustrous surface

Big change

review by ivanv

Hi guys,

The monitor is solid, bright and huge. There's no ghosting and the response times are good.
It's a big change coming from a 16 inch laptop monitor. There's just one thing that bothers me: The graphics card I bought (HD7970) is not enough to make games like far cry 3 run at maximum settings on the QHD resolution, but that's not the monitors fault. I guess it's time to save up for crossfire.

Price for Belgium:
I got the perfect pixel version of this monitor for 309 euro and 34 euro custom charges. Making up total of about 345 euro (461,5652 USD).

For the ones doubting of not buying one, I'd say have no doubt. It's a very good deal for the price.
And if you're worried about getting dead pixels, get the pixel perfect version like me.

ProsCons
cheap, good viewing angles, decent designchance to get hot pixels

Nice upgrade

review by fulvin

Coming off of TN panel 24" 1080p, this monitor is huge bump up in both screen size and image quality while not costing a fortune. The casing is very sleek, unlike on some other Koren displays which tend to have quite thick bezels. Someone complained about the stand being flimsy, but i find it sturdy and once you have it sat on your table the stand feels as solid as any.

My only complaint about this monitor so far is that the DVI cable was particularly tricky to plug in and tighten caused by the very narrow recess in the back of the monitor.

It also features a pair of speakers on the back and an audio in, which I have no use for, but the option is there.

Regarding the purchase from Green sum, I ordered a perfect pixel but there appears to be a bright black pixel on the right upper area of the screen. No biggie as it is only one pixel, but I was still left a little disappointed for specifically ordering the perfect pixel and paying about 20$ premium for it. The shipping was fast and the overall process took one week. Once the monitor was handed to be shipped it only took 3 days to ship from Korea to Finland. The package was well packed and wrapped around in thick foam.

ProsCons
Great overall image, inexpensive, no noticeable input lag or ghosting, sleek design, glossy screen Very small recess in the back makes it tricky for plugging in and tightening the DVI cable
