Pros: Inexpensive, Fast, Good Overclocker

Cons: Not a 6 core, only 3.2 stock

Great quad core cpu. Overclocks nicely, plenty of headroom. Plays all current games without a hitch. One thing I love about this CPU is that it runs very cool. I just love this little chip.

Pros: Overclocks to 3.6GHz

Cons: High temps, C2 stepping

Purchased less than a month ago and its max overclock was equal to that of my PII x4 820 and temps were 20C+ higher and it took more wattage. Not worth the extra money in my opinion. Returned mine.

Pros: Easy to overclock, reasonably powerful, good value for money

Cons: Max temp a bit low (62C) but I think all AMD CPUs are like that

Like the title says really, I got revision C3 and it easily overclocks to 4 GHz even on a motherboard (Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2p) with RAM (No-name generic) that really isn't designed for overclocking. I don't really think it is possible to get better for any less money (bare in mind I am in the UK and the tax's and exchange rate are a lot higher compared to some other counties which is why I had to pay around $150USD instead of what ever they cost in the US)

Pros: Amazing performance to price ratio. Overclock's very nice for the price. Great for gaming rigs on a budget!

The AMD Phenom II 955 BE is a great CPU for a builder/Gamer on a tight budget! Easy overclocking with unlocked multi. Pending on Revision(C2 or C3) overclocking can be great(C3). I think its one of the best CPU's for a budget gaming build. Price vs Performance make's the chip a must buy for anyone looking for great budget CPU. I would buy it again.thumb.gif
