works great with my gigabyte 990fx-ud7 rev.3 board

review by xploda92

So I have this under an corsair h80i cooler and it never breaks out of the 30 Celsius bracket even when gaming. Performance I find it snappier than the lil brother 8350. Purchased this and put it in place the 8350 in my gaming rig and now the 8350 is in my htpc. overall the heat and power consumption is not as bad as I thought it would be. Leaving it at 4.7 works flawlessly and pairs nicely with my gigabyte board.

ProsCons
1.454 vc avg when watching in hwmonitor. none.

AMD FX-9590, A Beast chomping at the bit!

review by meanmachine1

I recently finished building my new rig,and installed the AMD FX-9590 on an ASUS Crosshair v Formula z. I was a little dubious at my decision at first as, I thought I may have overheating issues. I decided to instal a closed loop liquid Cooler (Corsair Hydro H105) and in fact, the CPU doesn't even come with any stock Fan Air cooler.

Well I spent a little time tuning to obtain a stable overclock and found it fun and quite easy to obtain a moderate 5.2 GHZ Overclock.

For benching all cores are un-parked and to my surprise ambient temps are around 20-25c at idle and peak around 60-65c running the most stressful of all the tests and Ive run quite a few.

I would thoroughly recommend this CPU to any one who wants to max out their settings for Flight Sims, High End Graphics and Gaming, that are CPU intensive.

I'm not a Fan Boy off AMD nor do I work for AMD and have no partiallity toward Intel nor AMD, They both manufacture good product!!!

ProsCons
Lightning fast and Super to OC. Easy to obtain 5.2ghZ, The ultimate bang for buck. This CPU must be liquid cooled. Draws 220TDP and not all AMD MotherBoards will support this beast!

I don't mean to be rude, but... the CPU isn't that great. it's an overclocked 8350. There's nothing special about it. If it's working for you, great. Just know that stating "it's not all about single threaded performance anymore" is very untrue for most users.
