Cheap Quad Core

review by arranmc182
Picked up an oem 545 which was built this weekend, hope to start unlock/ overclock soon.
Do not know if the retail version comes with the heatpipe heatsink or not.
Using a heatpipe heatsink from an X4 I picked up.
The AMD forum recommends gluing an 80mm or 92mm fan (usually an Arctic Cooling PWM) for better cooling.
Being slightly mad I glued an 80mm to 120mm adapter on and mounted a Cooler Master R4. It keeping the CPU and motherboard cool but as much air is comin back out top as across the motherboard.
Anyway, mwave has $3 fan deals periodically, you might pick up a 92 mm to try out.
Otherwise IF USA see if newegg still has the LOKI for $25 before $20 rebate. Enjoy.
