The comments apply to Asus GTX 970 Turbo equipped with the Mono Plus.
The Good
The cooler costs only 35 euros and comes with a six-year warranty. All in all terrific value.
Despite the price, performance is completely unrivalled by most 970 AiB solutions such as Twin Frozr/Strix. At fixed 1000RPM the noise is very modest and GPU temperature remains below 50C under any situation in Jonsbo U2, which by the way has exactly one case fan. Even semi-passive operation might be a possibility depending on case airflow.
The amount and nature of noise produced by the 120mm fan are low and pleasant. It is not whiny and being a slim model, the fan produces less turbulence noise at any speed than thicker ones. No audible PWM ticking from any distance with 970 Turbo. Minimum speed of 400RPM will satisfy the most die-hardest silence freaks, too.
The assembly is rather compact and very short. With 220mm VGA clearance the whole thing slides in effortlessly. Build quality can be described as solid as the whole assembly feels rigid and heavy in hand. Installation process is easy and the cooler sits firmly on the card. I cannot comment on the bundled heatsinks as I'm using stock heatsinks and the fan provides sufficient flow of air over VRM and memory.
The Mixed
Size. 120mm fan means that the cooler is tall. Not an issue in majority of cases but some will be incompatible - likely those that cannot fit proper air cooling anyway. Also requires the space of three slots.
The manual lacks mention of the exact mounting torque (Nm) so the risk of overtightening is there with inexperienced users. Mounting pressure doesn't seem to affect performance much at all.
The Bad
None.
