Great 1155 motherboard

review by pioneerisloud

Bought one of these boards to get my 1155 build going, back in March of 2011 (shortly after release). I received the Rev 3.0 version. I honestly couldn't be happier with this motherboard. It takes my chip as high as it'll go, its got tons of expansion room with the PCIe layouts, great SATA ports, the color scheme is fine if you like blue. I can honestly say I have never had a major issue with this board. It just flat out works, and it works very well.

The Marvell SATA 3 ports suck. Period. Don't use them for a SSD, use the Intel ones (even if you're using an Intel RAID). There's a sleep bug, but that seems to be apparent with most 1155 boards.

I honestly couldn't be happier with this board. I wouldn't buy it again, but that's only because its too expensive now compared to similar boards, and z68 boards. If you find one for cheap though, its definitely a great board. It also will support ivy Bridge in 2012 when its released (already a BIOS out for it as of this review date).

ProsCons
Good overclocking, SLI / CFX, nice colorsPrice (now), Sleep bugs

Great Motherboard!

review by constantine85

I bought this motherboard for my first build and it was a breeze to set up. The BIOS is bar none the best I have seen with its ease of use. It came in a solid packaging with everything clearly marked. I do wish the SLI Bridge that came with it was black instead of brown. Other than that - its a great proven motherboard. Its the best bang for your buck in terms have having a motherboard that is Crossfire and SLI compliant.

ProsCons
Easy overclocking and Bios! nothing really
