Great wireless adapter that can turn into an access point.
Pros: no internet connection needed to create access point (AP), small and decent range.
Cons: doesn't do the full speed without dual N router
Mainly got this adapter to make a AP for my iphone (running MSI CC and Afterburner) the AP side works great for running in house servers without being connected through internet(optional). Got this last Black Friday and only paid $5-10 for it, might have been more disappointed about not doing the advertised full 300Mbs even with a 300Mbs N router (has to be dual, not single like mine) but for the price I couldn't have done better at the time.
the software with it is straight forward and easy to use. easy to switch AP mode on and off. only bad thing is rather minor, if you turn off the radio (wireless card) when you first turn it back on, it takes a few minutes before your internet connection will work again as opposed to when you first boot up, the internet seems to connect instantly when your software loads.
Would recommend this adapter to anyone who wants to add wireless to their system. haven't tested the full range, but I have full bars through the windows wireless signal and the router is 35-40 Ft away through 3 walls(other side of house). the Asus software shows one bar down for connection strength, but haven't noticed any lag while on net or playing steam games.
