Strong board from a great company
Pros: many I/O options, reasonable VRM cooling, TUF certified components, 990 chipset, dual CPU fan headers
Cons: gets a bit too warm when heavily overclocked, extra AsMedia SATA ports perform subpar
This board has been nothing but a solid performer with my FX-8350 at 4.5Ghz. The only thing that really startled me was the VRM temps when overclocked to 4.8Ghz, they got to 80C. Other than that I have been pleased to have the stability of quality components and a very well designed UEFI. I believe the AsMedia SATA ports are under-performing however the SATA ports that are run from the southbridge are incredibly stable and fast. The USB 3.0 boost feature is a nice touch as well, now it seems like an actual improvement over USB 2.0. If you don't have to have PCI 3.0 then this board is more than right for you. Buy it and you won't regret it.
