Pros: Medium pace, good teamwork, excellent communications, no n00bs, active servers.
Cons: Getting old, bad graphics, minor bugs, single player could be better.
Battlefield: 2, is still going strong after 6 years. There are still full active servers with lots of acitve players in them.
The best thing about the Battlefield franchise is the teamwork, and it is in this game too. I love how you actually have to work together with people, and you can't just clear a room on your own; you need your team.
There are also tonnes of vehicles and weapons to support you, from pistols to SMGs to LSWs to Snipers, all the way to boats, helicopters, fighter jets, tanks, and submarines.
The game is also very realistic, with a few shots sending someone to the floor and into shock, then you have to wait on a medic - who is a real person - to come and "revive" you via shock paddles.
There is a lot of good maps like DC Oil fields and Strike at Karkand, and there are plenty of modifications available online as well.
It also doesn't really require high system specs, I played it at Ultra settings on: Celeron 440 @ 2.00ghz, 2gb RAM, 512MB Radeon HD4350, Antec 450 Watt PSU and a Foxconn 45gm Mobo.
The bad things...
Bad graphics. This is understandable, it was made in 2005 FCOL.
Limited support. EA dropped it a long long time ago.
You have to have XP to play it.
No large communities anymore.
There are better games in the BF franchise... BFBC2 and BF3 with better Frostbite engines.
Anyway, overall = 9/10
Hope this helps

Have played this game in 3-4 years now, still active nowadays. Waiting for Back 2 karkand on BF3.
