BenQ XL2420TX

review by irondoq

To recieve this as a Christmas present, I couldn't be happier. The 120hz is AMAZING, playing games in 60hz on my 1440p monitor just doesn't compare, at least for shooters. The 3d with lightboost is amazing, and the monitor still looks amazingly smooth at the 3d 60hz. The colors out of the box are terrible; do a little research and find the settings that work for you. Even having said that, though, the colors on my 1440p Catleap absolutely destroy those of the benQ, but such is the reality of TN vs. IPS. At the time of purchase this was the best 120hz monitor out there, but with Asus coming out with the 144hz monitor, do your research and find which monitor is right for you. I highly recommend this monitor, I absolutely love it

ProsCons

Exellent 1080P 3D 120Hz gaming monitor!

review by cutty1998

Got this piece in Oct 2012 and still running it now 2 years later nearing the end of 2014.This is the best monitor I have owned as of yet.It is great for gaming, and 3D (if that's your thing) The 120Hz refresh rate means super fast action on FPS games which is key for online multiplayer. The colors are not as vivid as an ISP panel ,nor are the viewing angles ,but the refresh rate makes up for that.It is now the last Q of 2014 ,and 1080P has pretty much run it's course,so I am looking for a 1440P monitor. I would probably buy another BenQ as this is very well made. Awesome monitor.

ProsCons
Quality construction, gorgeous, and functional design, super fast refresh and response rates, stand, comes,Nvidia 3d Gasses, dust cover! And it does do 3D.only 1080P :(
