BitFenix Fury 650G: A great PSU

review by dman811

The BitFenix Fury 650G is the PSU that I received with my Neos, I guess I just never posted a review for it.

So here we go!

The Fury 650G is the first modular power supply I've owned (not worked with though) and I must say the experience has been a good one, I first put it into my Neos that became my HTPC case, then into my main HAF 932 Original case, now it's back in the Neos. All the changing has frayed the sleeving a little bit, mostly by the plugs, which is no big deal, just a personal nit-pick.
The Fury is definitely a cool and quiet PSU, hardly audible above household noise (ex. running water) if audible at all.
Cable length is perfect a bit much for a case the size of the Neos and requires some interesting cable management implementations, but for larger cases such as my HAF 932 the length is just right, able to reach the 4/8 pin at the top of my motherboard without a problem unlike most PSUs I've used in client builds.
Lastly, the BitFenix logo on the top of the PSU is really quite stunning and definitely brings everything together very well.

ProsCons
Modular, quiet, sleeved cables, great cable length, aestheticsSleeving can fray
