BitFenix Neos: A wonderful budget case

review by dman811

This BitFenix Neos case along with a Fury 650G were sent to me by BitFenix for review. Thank you to xbournex and SniperTeamTango for having faith in me.

Pros:
Budget, wonderful for the first time builder, could make for the perfect LAN case with ATX capability (small), thin and strong steel+plastic make for great build quality while remaining light, the various color combination options allow for many color schemes and will fit in anywhere, completely filtered, double on the front (foam in front of thin mesh), pull off front panel, CLC capable (H80i, H60 v2, Seidon 120M, Kuhler 620, etc. -- 120mm only), cable management is possible, front panel mic and audio out.

Cons:
For a $60 case only 3 fan holes would be a little gimped, top fan placement is something I would expect for $60, even $40 cases have them, instead of removable drive and PCI covers they are snap off style, mostly expected for a budget case, no cable management grommets, not much space for cable management, only one external USB3

All-in-all this is a great budget case that I am grateful to review. If I had to choose a score out of 10 I would give it a 7.5. I think this case would be great for the first time builder. Once I have built a system in it I will edit and go into detail on the goods and bads of building in it.

ProsCons
Cable management, small size, build quality, light, allows for any color scheme (I picked white/blue), completely filtered, 3 2.5" trays/ 3 3.5" traysOnly 3 fans - no top exhaust, panels aren't easy to get on or off, cable management looks minimal, PCI covers break off, drive covers break off
