Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz LGA1155

My first Intel CPU and I'm glad I have it.

Skye12977

Pros: Voltage and Temperature Headroom, Integrated graphics

Cons: I bought mine used so can't say if it's worth the 200-225 it is normally was

Prior to this CPU I had an Athlon 640 and then an Phenom 955, and needless to say this was a much needed upgrade. The ability to go up to about 1.4v (for everyday use) and near 90c at max load gives quite a lot of room to over-clock (you can even over-clock the CPU using the stock heat-sink). Due to only having the h100i and two Corsair SP120's I'm able to do 4.7Ghz @ 1.36v, this is hopefully...

AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Socket FM2+ Desktop Processor (BLACK EDITION)

AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Socket FM2+ Desktop Processor (BLACK EDITION)

“From what I have gathered, this chip is an a10-7850k without the iGPU. For the price difference between the two, a discrete graphics card can be purchased which will out perform the iGPU. Another bonus is the memory bandwidth is not shared with the GPU giving more to the CPU and all the RAM goes to the CPU. As for performance, its still performs as well as an apu can. They are a bit slow...” --PhillyB

AMD A10-7850K 3.7GHz Socket FM2+ Quad-Core Desktop Processor

AMD A10-7850K 3.7GHz Socket FM2+ Quad-Core Desktop Processor

“Ok where do I start! I was absolutely blown away by this processor. AMD provided this processor free of charge for a Donation HTPC build, and let me tell you that if your building a HTPC go with this chip and don't worry about a GPU because it has you covered! Talk about energy efficant! Runs super cool with provided stock cooler! Enough talking here are some results: This is my test of...” --MCCSolutions

AMD 760K 3.8GHz Socket FM2 Quad-Core Desktop Processor

“I'm writing this review because there is a lack of reviews out there for the 750K and 760K. I'l talk about the 750K briefly as well since that information is related. The difference between the chips is that the 750K is based on the Trinity APU, and the 760K is based on the revised Richland APU. Since they use the same piledriver CPU architecture and the integrated graphics is disabled, there...” --damric

AMD FX-9590 5.0GHz Socket AM3+ Eight-Core Desktop Processor

AMD FX-9590 5.0GHz Socket AM3+ Eight-Core Desktop Processor

“I recently finished building my new rig,and installed the AMD FX-9590 on an ASUS Crosshair v Formula z. I was a little dubious at my decision at first as, I thought I may have overheating issues. I decided to instal a closed loop liquid Cooler (Corsair Hydro H105) and in fact, the CPU doesn't even come with any stock Fan Air cooler. Well I spent a little time tuning to obtain a stable...” --MeanMachine1

AMD FX-8350 8-Core Processor 4.0GHz Socket AM3+ FD8350FRHKBOX

“Gotta love ppl not real 8 cores when in fact it is it's a 4 modules cpu with 2 cores in each modules that share resources get over it it's a 8 core and AMD came out with it first now Intel will come out with one. Mine OC great runs well with a h212 OC n the winter with push n pull but really loves to be on water when room temp is hot. At 4ghz my h212 had no problems even when my room had no AC...” --STRATUSRT02

AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ Eight-Core Desktop Processor

“Unlike what most Intel advocates say, the FX-8320 (and the FX line of CPUs in general) is a great CPU, especially for the price you can get one at. I've had mine for 7 months now and I am impressed at the amount of overall performance it gives. If I was to put a nice closed loop cooler, and some good RAM, I could get to overclocking this bad boy, but for now it'll have to wait. But even at...” --an65001

Intel Core i7-4790K Processor- BX80646I74790K

Intel Core i7-4790K Processor- BX80646I74790K

“I have to say that overall I am extremely pleased with my i7 4790k purchase and it's performance. It is so incredibly fast, and is actually just a hair shy of a $500 i7 3930k in most tasks which says a lot. That really is a big deal for a $300 proc. The 4790k idles strangely cool, in the low 20's (C) with my Corsair H80i, and is about 8-10C cooler than an i7 4770k at idle all things being...” --hapkiman
