Intel 750 Series AIC 800GB PCI Express 3.0 MLC Solid State Drive 1.3" SSDPEDMW800G4X1

Fairly Fantastic Drive

Spykerv

Pros: one of the first gen NVMe Drives, and excellent to boot

Cons: Some Windows boot issues

There's really not that much to say about this drive. It uses a custom Intel controller which is really fantastic and demonstrates the qualities of NVMe, which really isn't for everyone. Most people would be just fine with SATA III or ACHI PCIe based drives. But for data intensive applications it is a god send. And the intel controller is praise worthy considering how awful some licensed ASICs...

Kingston Digital HyperX Predator 240 GB PCIe Gen2 x4 Solid State Drive 8-Inch SHPM2280P2H/240G

“In recent months standard SSDs have reached the speed limit of what SATA can offer. In order to get more speed, drives need to move away and on to the PCIe bus. Kingston's Predator SSD does just this and achieves some incredible performance in the process. The Predator comes in four different configurations which include 240/480GB and with or without the PCIe adapter. I will be reviewing the...” --WilliamGayde

Samsung 850 EVO 4TB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E4T0B/AM)

Samsung 850 EVO 4TB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E4T0B/AM)

“HDDs are heavy and require a lot of room. I used to run two 2TB and one 4TB HDDs in my desktop machine for data drives and had a set of four more backup HDDs for each data drive in my computer: two in each set were kept onsite (aka home) and the other two in the set were kept offsite in my safe deposit box at my credit union. I stored the backup HDDs in an antistatic "egg crate" in a large...” --Lady Fitzgerald

“ So you want SSD bro? You want it to fit in your pocket? You want it to be able to take a beating? Then look no further than VisionTek‚Äôs USB 3.0 Pocket SSD. This little guy is promising read transfer speeds of up to 450MB/s and writes up the 155MB/s. I ended up snagging a 512GB capacity for a dual boot OS I intend on running on this very tiny SSD, other capacities include a 128GB and...” --bluedevil

Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/90G 2.5 90GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

“The Kingston HyperX 3k 90gb solid state drive is a great drive to use for a dedicated operating system drive or for a dedicated gaming drive. i would suggest though that for a gaming drive a larger capacity would be needed as this one is pretty small in comparison to drives currently on the market. The Kingston HyperX 3k 90gb SSD was well packaged by Kingston and came fully ready for an...” --LGxStarburst

ADATA Technology SU800 SSD Review

ADATA Technology SU800 SSD Review

“ SSDs are a required upgrade with how much lower the cost per Gigabyte is today. If you're wondering what's changed in the storage market after the past few years, there has been some improvements. NVMe is the newest form of storage that uses PCIe lanes to address the bottlenecks of the SATA interface, but for SSDs they now have a new form of adding more capacity called 3D NAND. Some SSDs rely...” --Jedson3614

VisionTek USB Pocket SSD 120GB

VisionTek USB Pocket SSD 120GB

“VisionTek's USB Pocket SSD may look like a typical flash drive, but it is so much more. It packs the hardware of a desktop SSD into a device the size of a USB drive. Where the Pocket SSD differs from other drives is in the controller. Instead of a cheap USB controller, the pocket SSD packs a full-blown SandForce SSD controller. This should give it theoretical speeds of around 450MBps. VisionTek...” --WilliamGayde

SanDisk ReadyCache SDSSDRC-032G-G26 2.5"" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

“A very cheap upgrade in relation to its effectiveness, Windows 7 boots in two-thirds the time and games like Battlefield 4 load more quickly. I have noticed other people on the forums complain the cache empties frequently but this has only happened once to me and it very quickly sorted it's self out. This can be plugged into a system without altering a windows installation. Once the included...” --Chris888888
