Pros: Excellent build quality, great software, one of the best sensors

Cons: I would have liked textured buttons

Cooler Master really raised the bar with every iteration of their Sentinel series mice. The first one, the original Sentinel Advance, was just the best gaming mouse on the market at the time, and did so at a much better price than its closest competition. It was unbelievable, especially considering that it was Cooler Master's first gaming mouse. Then came the Z3RO-G, which I just have no experience with so I'll kindly skip that. But no we're at the Sentinel II, which nearly perfects their award-winning formula.

This is a palm-grip mouse all the way. And it's my favorite palm-grip mouse without a doubt. It's one of the larger mice on the market and is very rugged, complete with an indent for your thumb and everything. It's just the ideal palm-grip design.

It uses one of the best sensors seen in gaming mice, the Avago 9800, allowing up to 8200 DPI, but also as low as 200 DPI. What's really impressive is that the tracking is perfect no matter what setting you're on. This mouse shows considerably superior tracking with small movements, which is really helpful in a lot of shooters.

Build quality is great, the body is soft and is made of a material that just doesn't get scratched easily, and doesn't wear down over prolonged use due to sweat. It's a light rubber coating, which seemed good on the first Sentinel Advance until it wore down. However, after over a year with this one, it doesn't have this problem. Some flaking can occur after a while, but it comes off easily.

CM's mouse software is the best I've seen. It isn't quite as good as the Recon, but it's close enough. You can tune mouse acceleration, create new profiles, assign four different DPI profiles with separate X and Y adjustments, and choose between eight different LED colors with three different modes in two different places. The LED display is cool too, and you can configure your own logo there.

You can find my full review here. Needless to say, of all my gaming mice, this is my preferred one.
