Massive air cooler for a good price

review by ninion

I bought one of these MASSIVE cpu coolers for my new computer as all the reviews I had found said the stock cooler for my cpu was junk. What I did not do was make sure that this cooler could fit inside my case, sadly it did not.

The cooler itself does look to be of a very solid design and would allow anyone to OC a 8 core Vishera with ease. The fan itself was low profile enough that it would not interfere with other parts.

The drawbacks to this particular cooler are size alone. Not only is the cooler itself 152mm(almost 6 inches) in height the fins themselves do stick out a little bit which could cause crowding problems for your RAM. When I had this mounted on my motherboard I could not fit my Gskils Sniper series RAM into the channel A slots, I had to use channel B.

However once I realized that this cooler was took big to fit in my case, with even just the panel on and not the side fan, I had to take it off.

I would recommend this cooler as it is a good product and it does come with more then enough mounting options, but be wary of how much space you have to work with.

ProsCons
Solid construction, good deisgnSize

Great low cost quiet cooler

review by buttermilk

The thermal paste is really runny but the cooler looks a lot like the Hyper 212s and performs nearly the same. It is a rugged feeling cooler with large heatpipes that make contact with the CPU directly even though they are roughly machined. I made an unboxing video (another unbox vid yay:rolleyes: ) that has a step by step mounting guide at the end. I have embedded the video HERE:

ProsCons
Rugged fins and solid performance at a low priceTIM is garbage
