Style and Sound at the expensive of Quality Assurance

I purchased this simply because it was recommended by silentpcreview however I am also fond of the Corsair brand.
Touting good design and a focus on silence, corsair hit the mark there, it has room for 5 140mm fans and 1 120mm exhaust which I managed to squeeze a 140mm fan in to, bear in mind the 140mm fans must have 120mm screw placement. It also has room for 3 SSDs and 2 HDDs on top of the 2 drive bays available and the extra space at the front bottom of the case.
I fitted 3 140mm fans to this limiting 2 of them to only 2 screws and using 2 cables ties on the front fan as shown by silentpcreview. Oddly they claimed they wernt able to fit a 140mm fan at the back.
Those are pretty much the only good points, and upon initiating the build is where this case already starts to fall apart... figuratively.
Although its not necessary to do, the instructions never mentioned there being 2 screws that need to be removed for detachment of the top panel. Also if you have ever read an instruction manual for constructing something prebuilt and taken apart you will know the usefulness of the "explosion diagram" which shows all the parts separated including the screws, because well the screws are the most useful part and Corsair seemed to have somehow missed the memo about this(to China by the way) because the screws in their diagram are awkwardly missing.
Their most obvious design feature, which is the separator panel for the upper section is not mentioned at all in the manual, to remove it it needs to be torn off by those brave enough to do so blindly as it requires a fair amount of force and with no hint to do so.
One of the ATX motherboard support feet were misaligned, using an MSI motherboard and its evident by looking at the side of the case, I have absolutely no idea how someone in a factory in China just thought this would be okay. Although it is usable still, I decided not to as it was close to the CPU and did not want to risk the flexion especially in that area.
My disapointment did not end there, using the screws supplied and a standard screw driver, I somehow managed to thread not 1 but 2 of the 4 holes used to mount the back PSU panel to the case.
Uneven supplied screws are to blame.
As icing on the cake of d?ception and a first for me at least I was shocked to turn my case front panel from my ceramic floor to find very visible scratches evident of poor preping a la the Nissan 350z interior.
So all in all, while it delivers what it promises, it is a step down for the once honorable Corsair brand, given it is a budget case it has issues which should not be present on anything with a distinguishable brand name.

140mm front air intakes, aesthetic | Poor Quality Assurance, thin sound deadening, bottom requires additional sound deadening. |
