Pros: cheap

Cons: can't hit 3200MT/s on Ryzen

does not reach 3200 memory speed on Ryzen. Have tried virtually every beta/official bios release for Asus Crosshair vi Hero up to 1401 and still stuck at 2933MT/s. I bought this memory for my new Ryzen build without any research based on Corsair's reputation alone, won't make that mistake again.

This is more a problem with your motherboard and its BIOS, not the memory.
Probably deserves more than one star. Just because it doesn't work on Ryzen at rated speed , since it is an Intel XMP certified stick you have to take into account it was not designated for Ryzen. Officially Ryzen only supports up to 2666MHz , so 2933MHz is already alright (if it's well priced).

You really just reviewed your own decision-making ability and one star is spot-on.

Absolutely perfect.
I'm using the same kit but in white on a Asrock x370 Killer board and I have the same problem. This is an AMD bios issue.
hahahaha its not the memorys fault, ryzen is **** when it comes to memory speeds.
the ram is top notch.

I understand not being able to reach the rated memory speed with Ryzen is frustrating, but that has to do with Ryzen more with the memory itself. Use this memory in an Intel system and it will reach 3,200 MT/s every time. I have this very same kit and I am going to get a Ryzen CPU knowing that I will only be able to do 2933 MT/S.

I'm not a big fan of Corsair products (their name brand seems to carry a pretty hefty price premium) but their RAM is solid.
I would go back and change to 3 stars if it would let me amend my review at this point.
So I can confirm getting 2933 stable on this memory is pretty east but I'm not done with my quest for 3200Mt/s (1600mhz). I can now run at 3200 stable but I can't cold boot and the Timings are a little high. After I refine timings and figure out the cold boot issues I'll post my settings. the last setting I changed that enabled me to warm boot at 3200 was increasing TwtrL_sm from 8 to 12.
I posted here http://www.overclock.net/t/1624603/rog-crosshair-vi-overclocking-thread/27160 what I did to get 3200 and 3328Mt/s memory speed working on Ryzen using the Corsair C6H.
