Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz (PC4-25600) C16 Memory Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2B3200C16)

Description:
Vengeance LPX memory is designed for high-performance overclocking. The heat spreader is made of pure aluminum for faster heat dissipation, and the eight-layer PCB helps manage heat and provides superior overclocking headroom. Each IC is individually screened for performance potential. The DDR4 form factor is optimized for the latest Intel 100 Series motherboards and offers higher frequencies, greater bandwidth, and lower power consumption than DDR3 modules. Vengeance LPX DDR4 modules are compatibility-tested across 100 Series motherboards for reliably fast performance. There's XMP 2.0 support for trouble-free automatic overclocking. And, they're available in multiple colors to match your motherboard, your components, or just your style.

Not the best performer but better value

review by mafi0s0

Firstly I would like to point out that at the time of this review I have the highest frequency listed on UserBench for this model @ 3366Mhz which I have found stable for me. This is likely due to only 1.35v being the intel spec for recommended DDR4 voltage.

?1.5v is the absolute max we allow for XMP certifications. However, good DDR4 memory will run at 1.35v up to 3200. Technically, no ?safe? (guaranteed) OC over-voltage but 1.35v or lower is best.? ? Intel

I am running them at 3366 CL16 @ 1.4v. You can see my results here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1591204/build-log-impatience/10#post_24917489

I paid $199AU for these where as my other option would have been $249 G.Skill Trident Z F4-3200C16D-16GTZB capable of a whopping 4Ghz and have just as good a Mhz to $ ratio however consequently would not be as good value when considering Dollar to Performance.

I used the Samsung 3333 MSI Memory Try It profile for this memory which was superior to the 3200Mhz XMP profile. However for encoding I would recomend something around CL10 to CL12.

I can strongly recommend these as an upper midrange DDR4 kit.

I may update this review after getting confirmation from either Corsair or Samsung that 1.5v wont burn these out.

ProsCons
Good $ to Mhz ratio, low profile, Samsung PCBNot as much overclocking headroom as one would hope from Corsair

not great!

review by seansplayin

does not reach 3200 memory speed on Ryzen. Have tried virtually every beta/official bios release for Asus Crosshair vi Hero up to 1401 and still stuck at 2933MT/s. I bought this memory for my new Ryzen build without any research based on Corsair's reputation alone, won't make that mistake again.

ProsCons
cheapcan't hit 3200MT/s on Ryzen

Its RAM

review by criticalone

What else can I say? Its DDR4 RAM, it does its purpose.

RYZEN users should get 2,667MHz guaranteed and those with with a AEGSA 10.0.6 should do 2933 99.9% of the time as well. Intel users should have no problems running this kit at the rated 3200 speed.

ProsCons
Low price, high rated clock rateRYZEN compatibility could be better
