Great drive

review by jaxlb

I highly recommend this drive for people like myself who don't want to spend allot of money on a SSD but want great quality and speed. I recommend buying this drive for anyone who wants to get a SSD but also want to use a HDD as main storage.

This SSD is very reliable and a perfect boot drive for anyone searching for one.

Wow. Super Fast and very reliable

This was my first SSD. I decided to jump into the world of SSD's after talking with several people about the benefits of them. UsedPaperclip talked me into this one. Has the best firmware and controller on the market so you do not need to worry about your drive crashing.

The only thing I could see that would be nice with this drive, is if it came with a 2.5 to 3.5" adapter. Definitly not a deal breaker though.

Great price to performance, super solid and stable, no issues whatsoever. Make sure if you buy a SSD, ANY SSD, you take a look at UsedPaperclips SSD optimization and setup guides.

ProsCons
Super fast, very reliable, great priceNone

Best SSD on the market

review by sean webster

This is a great SSD, it doesn't have the issues as the sandforce SSDs have and is faster, especially after flashing to the newest firmware!

I have 2 of these at the moment. One for my rig and one for my fathers. Installing windows 7 takes under 7 mins. and boot up is about 10 seconds after post. Productivity sky rocketed on daily use, I will never use a mechanical drive for my OS ever again.

This drive is without a doubt the #1 drive I would recommend for people in the market for a new SSD. It is fast, reliable, and is priced well.

I had to choose between buying a high end SSD like the Vertex 3 and some other SSD's in the higher end market, but instead I got one of the best SSD's there were at the time of purchase due to many recommendations. And I certainly do not regret this.

Amazing Hard Drive

review by crossedup

This is the best computer hardware purchase I have made in a long time. I bought this SSD to have as a boot drive and to store most of the programs I run (accept games). Performance increase is RIDICULOUS! When my computer goes to the desk top ALL my background programs are running and in place. NO wait time for all those programs to load. They are ON as soon as the desktop appears. Shut down: Holy cow. After I choose "shut down" I reach out and turn off my monitor, push my office chair back, and (most of the time) before my butt leaves the seat, the computer is off. Amazing. Seriously. Best hardware purchase in a long time. Buy it!
Oh, BTW, Newegg has these on special now. Instead of $115 they are on sale for $110. (12/10/11)

ProsCons
FAST, reliable, basically "plug and play"Price

I'm new to these SSD's and realize they leave mechanical HDD in the dust, but what is the reason you chose not use the Crucial 64gb m4 for games?

Great performance, cheap too.

review by amdkillsintel

Brought it for my Sager NP8130 (which has 2 drive bays) to augment an existing Seagate 750GB. I installed the OS on the SSD along with some other small applications that I launch doing start up. System boots up fast and shut downs quickly. It felt faster than my Crucial C300 128GB in my desktop Core 2 Duo (but it might just be the older desktop

). Took my laptop overseas to a humid subtropical island for 2 months, ran flawless in the summer heat. The SSD runs silent and is cool to the touch. Now, it's been 1/2 a year and it's still running great. It definitely made my laptop faster, with multiple applications starting in seconds. Worth the purchase
