D-Tek DTC- D5 Vario 12v Pump
The powerful, yet astonishingly quiet motor will impress all and its compact design will make it easy to mount inside a case. With a 50,000 hour MTBF (5 year lifetime), reliability is ensured thanks to only one moving part (magnetically driven spherical impeller spins on a single ceramic bearing, thus extending the life of this pump beyond existing standards). Features: • 50,000 hours MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) equivalent to 5 years lifetime. • Superior 12 Volts DC convenience: plugs into the computer power supply • Superior real world performance versus any aquarium pump we have tested to this date. • The high pressure capability of the D5 is particularly well adapted to high-flow systems using 1/2" ID tubing • Pump speed can be adjusted to yield top performance or virtually silent operations • Compact Design. • Quiet operations even at high speed thanks to new chipset controller • ½" Barb fittings. • No maintenance when used with de-mineralized water, and anti-fungal additives Located at the bottom of the pump is a potentiometer with 5 preset points. The combination of any voltage input along with control over pump speed allows complete control over pump output. Controlling these variables offers the unique capability to work at the most efficient operating point for your application. The 5 presets work in conjunction with logic programmed into the pumps circuitry. At preset point #5, 100% of available current reaches the pump motor allowing the pump impeller to spin at maximum RPM of 4,800. At preset point #1, 20% of available current reaches the pump motor slowing pump speed to 1,800 RPM. These features offer complete operator control over pump speed, flow rate and head pressure.
