I bought one of these back when they were first introduced. It's an absolutely solid under $200 subwoofer. Mine reached as low as 27Hz in my room. It's a very linear sounding subwoofer, every note was nice and clean.
It did get ever so slightly boomy at about 40Hz. But the value made up for that.
It does lack in power output. Its great for small to medium sized rooms, and even better for a good PC speaker setup. If you're wanting it for loud, or for a home theater application....it'll do. But you might want to consider something more expensive.
