still going strong since May of 2006

review by dan-h

I have owned two of these since May of 2006.

The monitors have outlasted several systems. moved to several new systems, and are in a word, solid.

I recently tested this with a new desktop/gaming build and was surprised how it looked when being driven by a MSI GTX-760.

A little slow in refresh compared to current panels according to specs, but it was hard to detect and observe visually.

If you come across these used, and they look decent, I would recommend them for home/office/web type use.

Edit: August 2015: these are still going strong. I will likely replace them this year since I upgraded my desktop and am now considering a 4K monitor, but until then...

ProsCons
Solid performer. Decent stand, multiple inputs, USB ports, power port for speakers. outdated format 1600x1200. Probably uses more power than newer panels.
