Stellar Image Quality
Pros: Amazing colours, perfect for photo editing, the wide gamut really sets it apart
Cons: Not good for gaming as trailing may appear
One of my sig rigs is being used as a Photo Editing machine and , consequently, I needed to purchase a very good screen. I bought this Dell due to its good reputation in the photography world. I am not sorry as I was lucky enough to get a complete uniform panel. When you first turn it on, you can see the poor Dell Factory calibration. Colours are horribly set and the first thing I did is to calibrate the monitor with my Spyder 3 Elite tool. This nifty tool measures everything, from colour temperature to luminance and brightness uniformity in each quadrant of the panel.
