Best phone I've ever owned, regardless of the low price.

review by lukepilot152

I bought this phone for ?70 on AliExpress a couple of months ago and I thought it was about time I made a review about it.

Initially I was a little skeptical. ?70 for a phone with a Quad Core CPU, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, not to mention a 1280x720 display? It all seems too good to be true. But upon opening this little beast I began to realise that this is actually a great little phone - well, not that little.

Having a play around on it you'll notice that it's really smooth - the 1.3 GHz Quad Core CPU does a good job of keeping things ticking along nicely, and with 1GB of RAM it's unlikely to have any issues with most games or apps available right now. The internal storage is split into two parts, which can make things a little bit interesting. It supports up to 16GB of extra storage through a Micro SD card - I have a class 10 card in at the moment and there are no issues communication wise.

However, the most surprising thing was how well this connects to the UK networks I'm using it on. I'm with O2 and my Lumia 520 was always pretty disappointing when it came to trying to use 3G internet or get a signal. Yet, in places where I didn't get signal with the 520, I can get 2-3/5 with this. Surprising for a Chinaphone.

Surely there must be something wrong with it? Yes, there is. The one flaw is the quality of both the phone cameras. The photos taken are grainy and underexposed - even after fiddling on a universal filter creator, I couldn't get the photos to resemble anything close to 8MP photos - which is down in a small way to the fact it's actually a 5MP camera.

So, should you get this phone? Yes, without a doubt. Unless you need a camera everywhere you go and have an inability to hold a compact camera, this is the best sub ?100 phone I know of.
