Pros: Quiet, fast, reliable brand, great warrenty
Cons: Little OC room, lack of Vram causes issues in high end games on high resolutions
Cons: Little OC room, lack of Vram causes issues in high end games on high resolutions
Summary: I was previously using GTX460s in sli, 1gb versions 850 core clock, i bought 1 570 as a upgrade path, and i noticed minor performance increase, but no decrease from the lack of a second card, once i bought my second card, i could easily max all games at 1920x1080 (skyrim, crisis 2, bf3 ectera)
I paid 700 in total for the 2 when i got them one in oct 11, then dec 11, if i could go back i would just buy a 580, then bought a second one down the road, the only flaw with this card is the 1258 vram, although i only play in as mentioned 1920x1080
they are around 200 now, which is great bang for buck, and i highly recommend these cards
Detailed Review:
Size: these cards are top loaded PSU which is great if u have a smaller case, cause the card will be more likely to fit, the card is not heavy compared to other cards
uses 2 slots
Noisethe cards can be loud if you put the fan about 80%, however, with my case, and my cooling, and a low ambient of 17C, the fans never go above 60%, and the temps on both cards never exceed 61C
(as of MSI after burner) the cards do run quiet compared to alot of other cards out there
ColourBlack PCB, matches my Mobo, red matches my case, and theme
No lights that glow or anything like that, which is good (for my preferences)

Pros: Everything, except one (See cons)
Cons: Early cards had some VRM probs; mine was one of them
Cons: Early cards had some VRM probs; mine was one of them
I just love this card, but more than that, I LOVE EVGA! They are the BEST. Period. I bought this over a year ago when this card was basically new. Recently I tried overclocking it (had no reason to before; KILLED every game I played w/ ease). It died when attempting overclocking, and I wasn't even pushing it that hard. Then, EVGA in usual fashion, sent me a replacement card, no questions asked. I'm looking forward to purchasing a game that will actually challenge this thing (probably BF3), but even then it probably won't be a challenge, because mine will have a partner: A second 570. Those two in SLI, I'm sure, will absolutely SLAY, mercilessly, ANY game I throw at them at this time. Also, the thing is sexy as h---! Large, black and red.
Oh, another thing: As is the case w/ most new, high end GPU's now, it is quite large. Make sure you have enough room in your case to fit. When my second card arrives I'm going to have to do some finagling w/ my case and HDD's to get both cards in there.
I think the price is fair for what you get. I have the SC version of this card. IMHO, if you are trying to decided between a 580 and this, buy THIS. The extra $$ for a 580 is a waste. Look at performance charts; the difference between these two cards at stock speeds is negligible. In real life game play you probably wouldn't even notice the difference.

Pros: Maxes out any game I thow at it.
Cons: A bit warm, even for idle.
Cons: A bit warm, even for idle.
This is just one fantastic video card. I always think the x70 cards (470, 570...) are the best bang for the buck when it comes to nvidia. They are always big beefy cards with killer performance, and almost always around the $350 mark. At first when i got this card I had it in a mini ITX build (Silverstone SG07), and in that, it got killer temps (sorry, I don't have any numbers). However, a minor gripe is that it doesn't do as well in a vertical orientation in cases such as the FT02 from Silverstone, at least in my experience. I custom built a case much like the FT02, but a bit smaller and with bigger fans. Even still, the card gets fairly hot. This may only be because I got the card with the reference cooler. This was because I got it when it was first out, though now there are plenty of better cooling options on non reference cards. I won't deduct any points from the rating, because although it is a little hot, fermi cards are just that way, and it isn't so hot that it has problems. Still a 5/5 card.
