Pros: Can be overclocked and overvolted
Cons: Loud when Fan Speed is full, less cooling than other versions
With default nvidia control panel settings I can run pretty much anything on the highest settings, even when my i3 550 bottlenecks its performance. I am not currently running it with the Pz77 V from asus i am going to buy so it will perform even better with the pci 3 support and the lucid mvp with the i5 3570k i will be buying aswell:thumb:
Managed to overclock it by 40-50mhz where the temp on stock cooling reaches around 70-80 degrees under load:thumb:

They were made to compete with the 7950, and they cost roughly the same.
Around $300, not $400.
nvidia needed to fill the huge gap between the 660 and 670.
and if youre hitting 70*+ your card throttles by 13mhz at 70* and another 13mhz at 80*. keep it cooler.
Except that this has extra shaders and the reference design with centrifugal fan. I would much rather have a card like that one than the other release fersions with their standard, heat-scattering fans. That's what I have now and unless the side is off my case, I cannot fold at 100% load for hours without the thing overheating. There is a price for the better performance and while that may or may not mean that it will compete with a 7950, still a great mid-range card for those who cannot afford to make more heat inside their computer case than they have to.
