A great case for those demanding silence.

review by cptchiggs

I recently purchased this to replace the screaming behemoth that is the Haf X. I was looking for silence and a simple yet striking design. That was when I stumble upon this baby. It's padded on the front and both side panels that not only reducing the sound made by the fans but also adds a high level of strength to the side panels.

This thing improved noise 10 fold while maintaining a high level of airflow. The door is a genius design that gives access to your Optical bays and even a cover that is removable giving you access to the front fans and the filter.

While the door has its hinges on the correct spot for me as the case sits to left of me on my desk, i can see it being annoying for people who have it the opposite.

If you are looking for a hybrid of silence and cooling, Fractal Design has done a fantastic job with this one. I highly recommend it.

ProsCons
quiet, cheap, sleek, striking, wide, good cable management, removable HDD cage.Door hinges one way

I didn't really think the HAF X was that loud, but I get pretty caught up in music and gaming...

What's the space for this case like?

Case looks nice. Good overview/review.
