Pros: Runs cool, Overclocks good, looks sexy, easy to tune if you know what your doing.
Cons: Harder to run if you have no clue how, can't PnP these they need setup
When i first got them, i had the issue of them running in 800Mhz mode, had to look up the issue and come to find out, you have to Manually set them, i thought, that should be no problem, well i set them and hit a few BSOD, well i hit up the Support over at G.Skill, within 24 hrs i had a Reply. Come to find out, you have to up the NB Volts to handle the Higher speed RAM. So i upped my UD3P's NB volts to 1.4V up from 1.2V Default, that made them work like a charm. So know their running at full 1066 5-5-5-15 timings @ only 2.0V down from 2.1 Default.
They run cool for the most part, F@H and Hardcore gaming (Crysis, Mafia, BF3) get them warm, but still colder then my old DELL Value RAM *shrugs*.
Bottom line, if you can get these for under $100 for 4 sticks, you can't beat the performance. Short of $300 a stick for 1200Mhz RAM of course. If i ever get my hands on a QX CPU, these sticks might see 1100+, then i will Update this Review.
