Gelid Icy Vision, Nice Cooler

review by eternal7trance

This was a VGA cooler I purchased for a EVGA 470 I have on a computer I built for my wife.

The install was very easy to do, most of the parts included fit right and no modding was needed. The only tricky part was some of the pieces for the back part of the VGA. You will need to cut some of the sticky tape for certain parts of the heatsinks, but they had more than enough heatsinks to cover everything I needed.

One big thing to note is that you should put some firm pressure on the heatsink to get it to seat properly. I let mine sit for about an hour and then installed the card and all the heatsinks stayed on.

This cooler also works with the EVGA backplate and High Flow adapter.

As far as cooling. The fans were almost dead silent when I had the case sitting on the floor next to me. I keep them on full blast 24/7 and they are still running to this day. The cooling on them at around room temp was 72*c with heaven benchmark running. This is basically a cooler that you can install and forget about worrying if your card is running to hot.

I give it a 4.5/5 because if you ever need to reinstall it, you would have to order another set of heatsinks.

ProsCons
Easy to install, cools well. Some pieces were hard to stick on.
