Pros: Great mid industry builder unit

Cons: not sure about QC

Ok, bought two of these units from Newegg on sale under $40 each, one is in use presently and operating successfully with an amd phenomX4 and several smaller hardrives with XPsp3/32bitPro.

The second unit out of the box, test run before deploying I noticed the cool blue led's were pulsing in brilliance unlike the first unit. Its probably been too long since aquiring them to send unit2 back to newegg, so I started searching around the internet to see what beta I could find and behold this is the first comment on the XPower650 on overclock.net. Interesting on its own. Not sure where to go to address this issue, "scoped" the outputs and there is pulsing there as well in sync with the led's so I am not about to plug it into a motherboard until I can fix it.

And there you are, one good, one not so good. Never heard of HEC before, at first I thought this PSU was a Thermaltake, kinda looks like one I had in the past but Not! At least with Thermaltake there might be hopes of a feed back loop to get some help making unit 2 servicable. If by some miracle someone reads this and has any idea feel free to e me about any clue, hugh

I have this PSU in my current build, it has been running everything overclocked coming up on 2 years now with no problems. Nice bang for your buck! The only thing I really dislike is how short some of the cables are. Good luck putting this into a full size case without cable extensions!
