Great Processor, love it

review by jirne

Package:
-Intel Core I5 760 itself
-Intel I5 Sticker
-Manual
-Stock cooler
@Stock speed:
I've been running it for over a year at stock speed and I haven't ran in to any cpu-related issues so even under 3GHz, a good quad-core is an excelent processor. I got 3.19 Cinebench points.
Overclocked:
First of all it overclocks realy easy... With a stock cooler I could clock it @3.4GHz... But when I hit a 80% load, it failed. So I'm gonna buy a D14 and see how it goes.
Conclusion:
Great. Whether you wanna overclock or not.

ProsCons
Fast, QuadCore, Easy-OverclockerHot, No hyperThreading

Great Little CPU

review by scaccima

This CPU has handled everything I've thrown at it with ease. Currently it's installed in a EVGA 120-LF-E650 P55 motherboard. unfortunately I didn't do my homework before buying this motherboard. The BIOS is the most basic available, without any ability to overclock the CPU. As a result it's stuck running at its 2.8 GHz speed.

ProsCons
Price, performance, quad coresNo hyperthreading

all P55 boards that i know of are overclockable, EVGA lists it differently in the bios.
