I originally just picked this up to test the Z68 board I got and put it through my normal torture tests. This is an excellent backup CPU for all purposes. Its speedy even at 2.4Ghz, still offers all the features of a high end CPU line and you can undervolt it save on that electric bill because it uses basically nothing. If you are looking to explore the Sandy Bridge this is definitely a place to start. The 2MB cache runs through app installs and webpages like a knife to butter. With a decent videocard, gaming is not out of the question. And just for a little boost, it only scored 1000pts less in PCMARK04 than my hexacore AMD....at 2.5GHZ with the same components. So for 40 bucks, if you don't want to jump all in right away...this will definitely surprise you.
