LG optical drives are Gooooood
Pros: Does everything prior to Bluray/HDDVD

I've had 3 of these since 2008 sometime. They have never once given me problems. They were cheap, and got the job done. After numerous Lite-On products, I will safely stick to LG for my optical needs.
No reason to get this model as it's discontinued, but look for the LG Super-Multi Bluray Burner instead.
