LG 2442V
Pros: HDMI, DVI, Great colour, great menu system and stylish
Cons: would have liked to seen usb ports on it
I have had this monitor for a while now and hadn't seen a review so I thought I would give my 2 cents with a long term usage review.
So what about this monitor?
Is it worth it? definitely.
I love waking up in the morning and seeing my monitor, I would've gotten the 27" though (if it had 2560x1440 I would've)
The colours are great, gaming is great on it. With colour accuracy without a colour calibrator IPS and PLS panels are the same as TN and VA panels.
So if you work with graphic design and digital media and or print things out and want the highest accuracy possible get a Dell ultra sharp but this will do the job for half the price.
My brother has an IPS LG 24" monitor and we put these side by side and without the colour calibrator the only thing that we see different is the blacks on his are a little darker.
Would I recommend this for gamers? Yes, it's cheap (price not quality), great to look at, sleek and the colours are great although could be a tad better.
The cable management loop behind the monitor is a great addition as well, the power light can also be toggled in the menu.
I have played ps3 & xbox on it as well and it is fine
so it's an all in one screen, it will do alot of things for half the price of other monitors on the market
Not to much to fuss about but day in and day out for over 9 months this has been great. I would definitely say get this if you are in the market for a 24" 1080p TN panel monitor.
Happy purchasing people!
