Will LG's 34UM95 Last Long Enough To Be Remembered?!

review by jojoenglish85

So, I got this monitor in hopes that i could consolidate my ever growing need to maintain an Nvidia Surround system made from 3x 1440p monitors.
The bezels didn't bother me but the HEAT did

The LG 34UM95-P looked like the right solution to the problem I was having.

Pros: Immediately noticed how much room i had on my desk after consolidating. Not only do i have more Desk Space, but I have essentially the right amound of desktop realestate as well. Going ultrawide really was a no brainer. Build quality for this product is what you would expect from LG, very sturdy and reliable. Sleek and sharp lines make this monitor look very top of the line. Colors out of the box were almost spot on. Calibration is not needed but a little bit of tweaking to get colors and contrast to your liking takes all of 5 mins to do. The original stand that comes with the monitor definitely set it apart from other competitors, looks great and serves it purpose.

Cons: The analog button located at the bottom of the monitor is a bit strange to operate. For me it feels like im going to break it with my huge fingers. I also feel like it takes away from the initial satisfaction of owning such a cool monitor, it feels like they could have provided an easier way to control this thing. The initial stand that comes with the monitor is awesome, but it only allows for 5-10 degree tilt, which for me is not enough. I purchased an aftermarket solution that is phenominal by the way. I have issues with the monitor wanting to use the windows audio and play through the monitors speaker system instead of my wireless headphones, so every time i start up my computer I have a ritual which I perform in order to disable all audio to the the monitor. A bit annoying but not a deal breaker.

ProsCons
The realestate, Build quality, Extrememly light weight for its' size, Calibrated right out of the boxAnalog button to control monitor specs, process for choosing your direct audio source
