Pros: configurable LCD, analog stick, custom macros, contoured.
Cons: some keys are not easy to reach.
Cons: some keys are not easy to reach.
I had one of these til about a year ago, and am planning on getting another one soon (house fire-it didn't break or anything, but I can't speak on it durability although it did work great the small amount of time I did have it). Bought it because I am terrible at WASD movement, and didnt wanna give up mouse-aim by picking up a controller. It worked great, and was able to fill that role I was hoping it would.
I mostly used it for shooter (1st and 3rd person) and it did that well. I tried a few times to play some other games with it, like RTS, but only having it for @ 3 months, I didn't use/practice often enough to be able to fully replace my keyboard for all games, but the ability is there for someone who wants to.
I also tried it with RPG games (dragon age) but there were not enough easy reach keys for me to set it up for 1-0 + other keys easily. Am hoping to pair it with a Razer Naga epic in my (hopefully) upcoming build to kind of maximize the potential between the both of them, and hopefully be able to not even use the keyboard for gaming.
I like the LCD screen on it, notifying me of profiles being loaded, lighting changes between macro sets, and different things you can use it for, like chat notices, time, or RIVA tuner items (I used mine mainly as a CPU temp monitor)
some of the keys are a bit hard to reach, especially on the left side, but I usually set them to a pause button or something.
I'd give it a 10/10, as I definitely like it's design over the Belkin/Razer nostromo.
