Pros: Cherry MX Brown switches, Programmable G-Keys, Good software, Very quiet, Dedicated media Keys
Cons: Only 6 programmable buttons, Wrist rest falls off easily, price
Here is the box with features listed:
Included in the box is the keyboard itself, a quick start guide, and the palm rest.
The keyboard uses a standard USB 2.0 interface and comes with a passthrough. The back of the keyboard has two very wide feet to raise the keyboard, as well as grooves for cable management.
All of the keys except WASD and the arrow keys have a matte black finish. The WASD and arrow keys are grey, and have their own individual back light control.
Seen here are the media and backlight keys
The G710+ uses Cheery Brown switches which are very linear. There is no annoying (or pleasant) clicking sound. This keyboard is quieter than some membrane keyboards I have used. It is very difficult to feel the actuation point as there is even resistance the whole time. To achieve this, Logitech has introduced a black ring around each key. This activates the key sooner allowing faster typing and quieter operation.

First is the Logitech Cherry Brown, then the normal Cherry Brown.
I personally like the ring. I feel it makes the keyboard quieter and more responsive. They are very easily removed so this should not be a deciding factor on the keyboard.
Usability and Comfort 4.5/5
The Logitech G710+ is very comfortable to use. The keys require very little effort to actuate. The grey colored keys on the arrows and WASD make finding home base very easy. I am using this keyboard in a pull out try, but I have used it on a desk surface with the palm rest. It is very comfortable, but it pops out fairly easily.
As you can see, there is very little holding the rest to the keyboard. I would have liked to see magnets or some more secure locking mechanism.
The G710+ comes with programmable 6 G-Keys with 3 layers. These G-Keys are the only thing that can be programmed on the keyboard. I would have liked to have seen the entire keyboard programmable, but unfortunately that is not an option. This would be useful during gaming when only a few keys are used and they rest could be programmed to macros or certain game functions. That being said, the customizability of the G-Keys is excellent. They can be programmed as a regular key or key combination, mouse functions, shortcut options, media options, and much more.
Here you can see I have one set to open my internet browser.
In conclusion, the Logitech G710+ is a terrific keyboard. Logitech has thought of just about everything. The only main problems I can see are the limited key customization, and the easily detachable wrist rest. Both of these are very subjective and may not apply to all users. I would definitely recommend this keyboard to all users looking to step up from a mushy membrane keyboard, to a high quality mechanical keyboard.
