Pros: Pretty lights 9 Buttons 3 memory profiles you can save buttons are almost silent 2500 DPI Max perfect weight for me
Cons: Polling needs 1000 to get it to work properly buttons near the main buttons (G4-G8) are easily clicked without knowledge can't use it properly on wood
Hello, i have just gotten my G300 mouse from logitech, i got a 40% voucher and thought, what the hell i need a new mouse anyway, enough of me babbling on let's get to it!.

First impressions:

I got the box, opened it and it looked nice, a little smaller than i thought it'd be but it wasn't too small, it only took me a day to get used to the size, it was also alot heavier than my previous mouse which was the labtec optical 800 mouse. This required me to up the DPI to around 1650 for normal use.

More Detailed Review After One Day:

i used the mouse on the day i got it, i messed around with the polling options, apparently 1000 polling is the only mode you should use as the 125, 250 and 500 polling rates are too rediculous, i don't think you should use those at any DPI, i mean 125 polling rate with 2500 dpi is just too fast, it's impossible to control.

After i had set my polling rate to 1000 (i highly recommend this to you), i set my DPI to 1650, it took a lot of getting used to.
The buttons on the mouse some times get in the way of my fingers, this also takes some getting used to as with all mouses. The mouse is for ambidextrous people, no matter what hand you use you can use it.

The four buttons (DPI UP,DPI DOWN, Backpage, forward page)
as i said before get in the way, they are quite small, but are placed perfectly for any one who is lazy and doesn't want to actually click the backpage button on your browser.

Most notably of all the mouse feels a lot better than any other mouse i have used in the past, i've had a mikomi mouse which have very long buttons and depending on how far up you press the harder it is to click. the g300 is much easier to use than any other mouse i have owned. It is also very silent, when you click you're like wow this is actually really quiet. That is until you reach the middle mouse button.

The middle mouse button feels exactly like a laptop button, when you click it down it makes a very loud click like a laptop, i've had friends comment on how much it sounds like a laptop button, it takes alot more energy to scroll the wheel up and down so take note of that.

Sensor/Tracking surfaces:
DO NOT USE THE MOUSE ON A WOODEN SURFACE!
The reason for this is it goes out of control, if you really want to use this mouse to its potential get a proper mouse mat, i've never used a cloth mouse mat, but i'm currently using a cyborg silicon mouse mat, it is very good and is very big, if you get this mouse, a silicon mouse mat is what i recommend. there's no cursor jitter or anything on the mouse mat i use.

Lights/Memory Profiles:
you can manually select DPI modes if you so wish and how many there are up to a maximum of 5, if you do actually do this when you click to go onto different memory profiles it either feels slightly slower or faster, and takes a lot of getting used to, so my suggestion to you is to choose one DPI mode and stick with it unless gaming, then you should have two dpi modes, one for scoping one for not scoping.

Overall i think this is the best mouse i have owned, it is easy to get used to, it has everything i could possibly need, the sensor is good, even the lift off distance is good.

And that concludes my review, thanks for reading.
