Greatest wireless mouse for gaming.

review by iiiiicrashiiiii

Just as the title states, this has to be one of the best wireless mouses for gaming out on the market right now. Tons of cool features including two interchangeable batteries so you never have to waste money on regular batteries. Over time, this mouse will pay for itself.

So... you never need batteries but they don't last long although you don't have to buy any. However there are two batteries?

A Lemon

review by nivacs

I Have to return to this to state i have thrown the RAT9 away. My biggest issue is that the left click button has worn out on 2 separate mice in a period of 8 months. I would not recommend any of the Saitek mice due to their cheap switches

I feel like i threw the $150.00 away

To start with, I have to say I am in love with my RAT9 its the perfect mouse for me.

But in all fairness it isn't the perfect mouse for everyone.

The overall feel of the mouse is pleasant It tracks nicely. I find the battery life to be OK (@3 hours while gaming) and the inclusion of an extra battery makes it easy to change out the battery at 2- 2 1/2 hours when i run into some down time to make sure my gaming is uninterrupted. Personally I'm not a fan of the "sniper button" it just doesn't feel like its in the right place. however, I find the programmable DPI selector to be easily reachable easy to use and natural enough that I use that when i scope into snipe. I love the thumb wheel, using it for 2 extra thumb buttons putting more functionality on the mouse in an easy to use, natural interface.

The software for the RAT series of mice is great, allowing for as many profiles for the mouse. Each profile has 3 different presets which can be changed on the mouse. the preset button has 3 colors 1 for each presets changing the preset is done with a rather unnatural thumb movement which is both good and bad, good - You wont do it on accident, Bad - I usually have to remove my hand from the mouse to get to the preset button.

This mouse sports a 5600DPI Twin-eye laser. This means this mouse is effected by the lifting issues of this sensor (lifting the mouse causes the cursor to jump up and to the right) If you are a lifter this mouse isn't for you. The weight of this mouse makes it unsuited to lifting but does create a lot more stability than a lighter mouse. The other issue with this sensor is that it can get dirty rather easily which causes it to lock out either the x or y axis. Blowing on the optics fixes this, but it can be game killing. Keeping your mousing surface clean prevents this.

If you don't mind a heavier mouse and aren't a lifter, this is a great wireless mouse for you. If you like the ergonomic look and feel and the functionality of this mouse but are put off by the sensor and the weight, take a look at the Cyborg R.A.T.7 Albino

ProsCons
Cheap switches, Twin-Eye Laser, Heavy,
