Need for Speed Hot Pursuit

100% Positive Reviews
Rated #73 in PC Games

Pros: It has very realistic driving mechanism, cars feel more real, the races and the police chases are the best of any NFS.

Cons: The free roam mode could have been better, some customization is welcome, the game feels linear.

As with any big franchise, the pressure to do better with sequels keeps building up. And NFS Hot Pursuit doesn't disappoint. Driving has been evolving along, as new games came up but it never had been better. It's fun on both sides of gameplay, as a Racer and as Police. It maintains a nice balance between the missions. They don't feel overwhelmingly difficult or too easy (NFS Carbon anyone). Although i have been enjoying the Police part more. They both are pretty good.

Now coming to driving mechanics. Mostly in all previous NFS titles the cars didn't feel real. But play this game once and you'll be able to tell all about a car just by driving it. Controlling a car now is not just pushing the pedal and taking turns. Its more on how you control the car. You have to maintain an Optimum speed, precisely apply the brakes to drift around a corner. Overall, NFS wasn't this much fun anytime before.

Now coming to Cons. The Free Roam mode feels empty, the map doesn't have much detailed surroundings. Or i am too used to cities, but i spent much time and enjoyed driving around exploring the area, finding shortcuts, watching the beautiful scenery. Now its just open world, there are a few places to explore but not much. Also the roads feel quite empty.

You should get this game if you like Racing games, are a long time NFS fan, or just wanna try out this Genre. It will be a nice start! smile.gif
