Great case, tight space.

review by papkee

NZXT has started to really help out the "budget builders" with their cases, like the Source 210 Elite and more recently, the H230. The H230 is $69.99 on newegg right now (cheaper than the NZXT store w/ shipping) and I decided to jump on the deal.

The case itself is well built and solid. The feet have rubber on the bottom and they won't let the case go anywhere. The front panel is very well designed, and although you cannot change which side the door swings on, in my case this wasn't a problem. Inside you can see the dust filter and two fans, which keep the case pretty cool.

The side panels each have "sound deadening foam" which, while it works, doesn't really look like professional acoustic foam. However, the fans that come with the case are very quiet, and I can't even hear the thing from across the room on a quiet night.

The cable management space gave me a headache. While some of my problems could have been solved by a modular power supply, it seems like there just isn't much space behind the case to route cables regardless. With a little elbow grease my problems were solved, but keep in mind that it was a struggle to wire the HDDs with the minimal space.

Overall, I had no other problems with this case. It's a steal if you want something stylish, yet economical, and you like clean looking cases. NZXT has outdone themselves once again.

ProsCons
Amazingly quiet, great price, looks fantasic, plenty of drive baysCable management space is tight, bare inside, sound-dampening foam seems cheap.
