One of the best cases i've had

review by ldewitt

Pros:
So overall this is the best case I've used so far, had mini, went mid, ended up with this full tower and love it. It has plenty of room to route wires behind the motherboard, plenty of hard drive cages that are removable which is a big plus since i don't have use for 6 hard drives plus my SSD. only have the single hdd cage in as seen in my sig rig. I love the amount of places to mount fans i have 7 fans(not including 2 fans used for push pull on CPU+GPU coolers) I like the ability to used 120, 140, or 200mm fans on the top as well as the front. Another awesome plus is the SSD mount behind the motherboard(small issue with this, will discuss down below) for the most part awesome none-the-less. Also there is REMOVABLE fan filters on the bottom of the case under the PSU and under the other spots where there is fan mounts, as well as one in the front intake. All easily removable, which i rather enjoy since i like to keep everything i can out of my case to keep things clean.

Cons:
All that being said i have a few nit picks about this case that frankly pisses me off, and the reason only 4 stars are given. First off the fan controller is quite lacking, it's very cheap not to mention no 4-pin fan support!! Whats with that!!! I ended up replacing it anyways, since most of my fans are 4-pin pwm. Another nit pick is why in the heck would they put the fan mount only on the 3 HDD cage??? Who in the world needs that many drives nowadays like myself I have a 2TB 7200 HDD and a 250GB SSD(which is mounted behind the motherboard). I would like there to be a fan mount on the 2 HDD cage and 1 HDD rather that that huge 3 HDD cage....lastly(from what i can think of at the moment) as stated above with the SSD mount cage is very close to the motherboard mount so unless you have a straight SATA cable you will have to keep the bottom screws loose on your SSD because you wont be able to connect the a L SATA to it, although not a huge issue but would of liked a cutout or something that could of solved that issue easily. I know everyone will be like just use a straight SATA cable, true but i want to use the 6gb/s ones that came with my Sabertooth motherboard.

I may have more PROS or CONS, when i think of them i will update this review otherwise a pretty good case overall.

BTW if you have any questions related to this case i'd be happy to answer for you.

One of the best cases i've had

Nice review, personally I don't mind the fan controller, its just not as good as the one from the original Phantom (which had individual fan control on a set of proper sliders). My main problem is that I can't get the top or front panels off! going to have to saw them off.
