surprisingly good SATA II experience
Pros: works well in my x61, much faster than HDD (obviously)
Cons: infrequent freezing (may not be SSD), nagging worry due to many issues with this era of drive
It occasionally freezes for, perhaps, a second or two during internet browsing. This may be internet related, cpu related, or SSD related... so it may or may not be the fault of the drive. Only mentioning it because otherwise it has been a 200% increase in thinkpad goodness.
Aside from that, I have had no lockups, no BSODs, and no hangups during normal computer usage for the last year. Even the famous "return from sleep" problem has not shown up. Maybe I'm just lucky ... I hope I'm lucky, that would be fine with me.
I know that OCZ had a rash of frozen and locked drives in this time period, so I was quite nervous when I installed it. However, I have updated to the latest firmware for the SSD and have not (so far) seen any of this behavior.
Dinged 2 stars just because you shouldn't have to worry about total locked drive from the start.
