OCZ ZT Series 750W Fully-Modular 80PLUS Bronze

review by mironccr345

This is a great PSU. I used one for a build I did for a friend and I recently bought one for my folding rig. I bought both PSU's while on sale or when newegg offered a discount code. So it was worth the money. The ONLY issue I have is the loud 2800rpm YateLoon fan under load. Yes, it's VERY loud! I bought this PSU for my folding rig that runs 24/7, and the cpu and GPU's are at 100% load. Although the fan noise can get some taking use to, you can def. notice when it's not on. Don't let the the loud fan discourage you from picking one of these psu's up. As you can see from my Sig Rig's, I've done a small fan mod to help with the noise. Hopefully OCZ will take the fan noise into consideration and update the new line of PSU with Real Silent Operation.

ProsCons
100% fully modular, 80+ Bronze Certified, sleeved cables, the cables are long enough for ATX/mATX case's, The priceDescription states Silent Operation, although this is some what true, the fan is pretty loud under load. The fan doesn't ramp down until a restart.

I bought this PSU because I went from my Phenom II X6 overclocked to 3.9 GHz and a GTS 450, to the X6 and 2 GTX 560s. It was very easy to set up and the modular cables were plenty long to use in my HAF 932 case. The plugs on the front of the PSU as also well laid out. The only reason I's say not to buy this PSU is because the fan is insanely loud. If noise means a lot to you and you need a silent PC, find another PSU. If you dont mind having a bit of a noisier rig, go ahead with this one.

ProsCons
Fully Modular, 80+ Bronze, Low cost.Crazy loud!

Hi, I agree with this apart from that the fan is loud. I have never heard mine, and my case fans are not loud at all. Maybe it has something to do with that you are running more hardware than me since the fan is load dependent, so it might run louder.
